The festival will take place in Lot 2 (see map below). Free parking for Christkindlmarket Des Moines visitors is available in Lots 1, 3 (West side only) and 4 during the following days/times in 2024:
Thursday, December 5, 5pm – 9pm
Friday, December 6: 11am – 9pm
Saturday, December 7: 11am – 9pm
Sunday, December 8: 11am – 5pm
Yuletide Hall After Hours: 9pm – 10pm on Friday and Saturday
Handicapped parking stalls are available in Lot 1 for those with a visible permit.
The River Center Trolley
This festively decorated trolley will run a circular route that includes 5th St, The River Center and the festival grounds. Stay tuned for a map of the pickup/drop off locations! Donations accepted.
Dart D-Line Shuttle
The free D-Line runs in a loop, every 15 minutes, providing service from the Iowa State Capitol complex in the East Village to the Western Gateway. Just hop on the bus at any of the stops – no fare needed.
Operation Hours: Weekdays 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Parking Garage Locations and Rates
The City of Des Moines offers parking garages throughout the City. Below is a list of where the parking ramps are and the cost to park on each ramp. During special events downtown, a $10 or $5 flat rate will be applied to City-owned garages. Signs at the entrance of each garage will have special event pricing available.
E 2nd & Grand: Monday through Saturday: $1 per hour with a $10 max per day.
3rd & Court: Monday through Saturday: $1 per hour with a $10 max per day. During the Downtown Des Moines Farmers’ Market: Flat fee of $5.
4th & Grand: Monday through Saturday: $1 per hour with a $10 max per day. During the Downtown Des Moines Farmers’ Market: Flat fee of $5.
E 4th & Des Moines Street: Monday through Saturday: $1 per hour with a $10 max per day.
5th & Keo: Monday through Saturday: $1 per hour with a $10 max per day.
