WHAT IS CHRISTKINDLMARKET DES MOINES (CDM)?
It’s a family-friendly event that features a unique shopping experience for gifts and holiday decor along with authentic German and European cuisine, holiday beverages, live entertainment and children’s activities.
Following tradition, this event is held outdoors with the addition of a heated entertainment tent and various covered areas for shopping and eating.
The 2022, total CDM attendance was 70,000 with 17,500 average daily visitors.
For 2023, CDM will be held on: Nov 30: 5 – 9 pm, Dec 1: 11am – 9pm; Dec 2: 11am – 9pm; Dec 3: 11am – 5pm.
Location: Principal Park, Main Lot, 1 Line Dr, Des Moines, IA 50309
For 2023, CDM will have 42 vendors (20 food, 22 nonfood) selling from wooden stalls, food trucks and trailers.
