New Hope United Methodist Church – CDM 2026 Nonprofit Tree Silent Auction Participant

New Hope United Methodist Church’s tree theme is: Tree of Life:
Bringing New Hope to the community means bringing new life, as well. Our congregation brings new life into our community through the ministry we live out in our lives every day. Our church family leads the community in participating on local boards, joining community organizations, leading community activities, and owning and working at businesses right here in our own community. We help host a little food pantry on Merideth Dr., support food ministries throughout the metro, participate in an annual coat drive for Johnston Partnership, support reentry into the community from the women’s prison, contribute volunteers and support to Joppa, Urban Bike Ministry, Families Forward, Meals from the Heartland, Helping Hand, Central Iowa Shelter and Services, and much more. Our congregation offers three Sunday morning worship opportunities and we host two others through our partnership with New Foundations Church. We offer Wednesday evening meals and activities for children, music ministry opportunities, diversity activities, community social events, and more! We don’t just go to church; we embody church. That sparkle you see on our tree in the butterflies and crosses represent the life we strive to bring into the community. Our tree is lit with simple white lights that represent each person here at New Hope United Methodist Church, each of us just one small light for Christ who when we come together and surround ourselves with others create a beautiful vision of our life-filled community. We hope you enjoy our tree this year!
